Luftwaffe Field Division

Organised in 1942, the first Luftwaffe Field Division was set up in mid-1942 from excess Luftwaffe ground crew. Different divisions were set up differently and they constituted mostly of Jäger (light infantry) battalions with additional artillery batteries, Field Flak battalions, tank destroyer battalion, signalling company, supply troops and also engineers formed part of the Luftwaffe Field Divisions.
