Luftwaffe Soldbuch

Sold out.

The Luftwaffe paybook was highly characterised by the blue coloured cover and the Luftwaffe eagle. This authentic reproduction is faithfull the the originals and includes 24 full pages, and 4 half pages.

Such Soldbuch was issued to a soldier when enlisting with a branch of the German armed forces, in exchange for the Wehrpass. It contained personal details, rank, promotions, weapons in possession.

A misconception usually assosciated with the Soldbuch is that this includes the pay from his home unit. Infact this booklet included details of payments received as extras and practically any records about the soldier, including awards and other routine military specific information. A soldier caught not in possession of a German Soldbuch would end in trouble.

A personal photo in uniform was required as from 1943 onwards, as means to increase security in all the branches of service.
